Be Honest. Are You Willing To Honor Your True Desires?

Desires.. Are they from ego or from the soul/higher self?

Inauthentic desires fade over time, this usually happens when we don’t know ourselves or what we want to experience. These are inauthentic desires because we are told what we should want, what we should do. It usually satisfies an ego need.

I believe true authentic desires are from the soul/higher self. It feels like it lights you up and you keep always coming back to it. No matter if you choose to run away from it.

Storytime!

I have chatted with someone and her desire is to be married, she sees herself being a wife and happily married to her husband. However, her boyfriend had no interest in getting married and didn’t see the importance of it. She felt like she had to settle and not get married in order to stay with him. But the truth of the matter was she didn’t believe her desire was hers, and she felt bad for wanting to be married.

I believe in my heart that if you desire something like marriage, you are meant for that. If your partner doesn’t want to get married, believe them. However, you always have a choice in the matter. That’s where your power lies.

Is this your person or are you afraid of starting over fearing there isn’t anyone out there more in alignment with you?

In this case she has 2 options: 1) she can choose to give up on her desire of getting married and still remain being his girlfriend or 2) be happily married to someone who sees the importance of marriage just like her.

Personally, I don’t think our desires come out of nowhere. True authentic desires are from our heart, our soul. It’s a burning desire we are meant to experience.

I will never tell my clients what they should or shouldn’t do. I will always guide them back to themselves. Because your body, your intuition, your soul already knows the answer. Are you willing to see it?

Be honest with yourself on what you truly want.

You know it feels true for you by how expansive and free you feel in your body. You literally light up. I like to put it as “It feels right.”

You know it feels not true for you by how contracting and limiting it feels in your body. I like to put it as “It feels off, it doesn’t feel good.”

It can be scary to try something new, but it’s scarier to live a life that’s not authentic to you. So be honest with yourself on what you truly desire… will you allow yourself to have it?
