
Yes, we still need to take action in this world but this does not mean to hustle. All work, no play? This is so outdated and will cause burnout. What’s meant for you will energize you and will feel good to you and your soul.
Have “ME TIME” every day to cultivate the feeling of fun. I love doing this first thing in the morning. Start your day doing what is best for you, prioritize you by setting a self care routine that you ENJOY.
When I hadn’t been consistent in my self care routine, I noticed lower energy and not feeling my best. This would have a domino effect on the actions I was taking/didn’t take.
Because of this I created a list of my fave things to do to help me connect to my feminine energy: from going on walks, listening to my fave content creator when getting ready & wearing something I feel good in, to hugging myself & telling myself how much I appreciate myself, meditating, dancing, watching something that makes me laugh. I make sure my nervous system is calm and at peace so I can receive the energy I am pouring back into myself.
I am not suggesting you to wake up at 5am, meditate for 1 hour, go for a 5 mile run, journal, shower, and have an extensive skin care routine.
If you feel called to do this, go for it. But the secret is to do this because you ENJOY it. Not because someone online told you do it. It’s not the actions, it’s how you feel when you do these activities.
Differentiate between knowing what routine doesn’t work for you and self sabotaging. Your “ME TIME” should make you feel centered, grounded, more connected to your higher self/best version. It should feel like you are pouring into your cup and investing in yourself. If your self care routine is becoming boring and not energizing for you, change it up!
How do you know if you are self sabotaging? You know you enjoy your routine but you are putting it off because you have something else that you deem more important or you don’t have time to give yourself “ME TIME”. Spoiler Alert: anything you say after the word BUT is an excuse. Is that other thing more important or can it wait until after your “ME TIME?”
Slowing down will actually propel you forward. We have been taught that we can’t have fun until all our tasks are completed. It’s actually the other way around. Have some fun right now and you will receive the downloads for how to complete these tasks with ease and flow.
Remember if you are feeling stuck or burnt out throughout the day.. take a break. Your adrenals will thank you. Plus, you will come back to that task later feeling refreshed and will see the situation differently.
